One way to begin strategic alignment is the
Sounding Board Lunch. It is the review of your critical Elements of Strategy in a structured and confidential manner.
We would do this in a one-on-one, confidential conversation between SAI and you.
. . . . . .
The purpose of the
Sounding Board Lunch is to:
- review Strategic Elements (or any Strategic Alignment Model component) of your unit for completeness (do you have it done), strength (how robust and vibrant is it) and alignment (linkage to the other Elements);
- identify areas where further work may need to be completed;
- identify how that work may be completed; and
- have a discussion on your vision and strategy.
. . . . . .
Senior leaders who have worked through the
Strategic Elements value,
"how very comprehensive the assessment is",
"being able to take the time to reflect on our strategic elements", and
"being able to identify where the gaps are in our strategies".

The
Sounding Board Lunch requires 5-7 hours of your time. It is usually held in 2-3 sessions, with the first one over lunch.
At the end, notes are compiled and presented to you with recommendations. Your
Sounding Board Lunch is reasonably priced and non-committal.
